The Lulla Doll is a sleep companion for children (from birth to school). It emulates closeness with its soft feel and soothing sounds of real-life breathing and heartbeat. Lulla’s unique design is based on the science of closeness, multiple studies on kangaroo care, the effects of heartbeat and breathing sounds, and the effects that smell, sight and touch have on babies and small children. Roro also relied on advice from a team of doctors, nurses, and psychologists during the doll’s development. Read all about it here. The Lulla doll has been tested and tried by hundreds of thousands of parents and caregivers all over the world.
Ok, so what do you need to know to ensure it works for you?
Help your baby establish a good sleep pattern and get good habits in place before you introduce the Lulla Doll. HOW?
Well, you need to ensure their feed and sleep needs are met during the day, and be careful not to let them oversleep during the daytime, so they can sleep well overnight. This will help them establish a good sleep pattern and get good habits in place. THEN you can introduce the Lulla Doll.
If your child is over or under tired then putting them to bed may be a struggle and it doesn’t matter that sleep aid you use – your child may not respond well to anything until this is addressed.
We recommend letting the doll absorb your scent by having her in your bed overnight, and the soft fabric is designed to do this – so she will be extra comforting to your child. You can then introduce her and she will work her magic on your child!
Our tips for success
- Make sure you use the doll for all your child’s naps, or sleeps, day or night. Keep her in the bassinet, cot or bed so that she is there to form the sleep connection.
- Go through your normal going to bed routine. Pop your baby into their bed and give them the Lulla Doll.
- You may say a particular phrase or make a suggestion that it is time for them to go to sleep.
- Doing things in the same order every night, at a similar time, will establish a routine and help them get to sleep.
